  • Mansell has automatic gearbox. Senna and Berger manual, respect.

  • @wwx1 Senna and Berger also had the semi-automatic, paddle-shift gearbox by Interlagos, which was the 3rd race on the 1992 calendar.

  • Although 1992 was swung massively in Mansells favour, he definitely deserved at least one championship after all his bad luck in previous years. In my opinion statistics don't reliably represent how good Senna and Mansell were, but make the likes of Prost and Piquet looks better than they were...

  • mate u should have showed some schumacher from 1992, he did great, he even beat senna

  • @F1archivesDotCom Mansell had paddles back in 1989, 1990, 1991 and first races in 1992 - while for example Senna didn't.

  • @playmobil911 had a good car in 1987, but still did nothing with it and Patrese was decent enough. In 92, Mansell did what any top driver does, maximize when you have a true advantage, like Button in the early part of 2009. By the time the performance gap closes, it's too late.

  • If they gave it to Williams or Ukyo Katayama Satoru Nakajima also they would be champions!

  • @BiggerThinking1 The Mclaren? That arrived at Interlagos, which was race three on the calendar. Mexico was race two.

  • @F1archivesDotCom Correct me if i am wrong but the new car didnt arrive until the 4th race in mexico?

  • @polaxis842 There was no penalty for jump starts back then.

  • @Sembee83 it was also caused my McLaren using a large piece of cowling over the monocoque which of course is more loose than the Williams way of simply letting the monocoque also be the outer bodywork at once...hard to explain but you'll see :)
