This video highlights one of the many charitable organizations state employees can give to through the State Employee Charitable Campaign. Each fall, state employees are given the opportunity to learn about the charities in the SECC, choose which ones they wish to help, and then fill out a pledge form to indicate how much they wish to donate to any particular group. The official campaign dates are September 1st through October 31st.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Travis County is the only nonprofit organization with volunteers sworn-in by a judge to make recommendations to the court in the best interest of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. A CASA volunteer is a court-appointed, trained and committed adult who stands by these children's side, watches over their case and advocates for their best interest. They ensure that these children remain a priority in an overburdened legal and social service system and are often the only guiding presence involved from beginning to end during a child's case.
