To keep pace with population growth it is estimated that in the next 40 years food production must equal the amount produced over the last 12,000 years, and it must be achieved in the face of climate change, limited land, water and fossil fuels. Through plant breeding the seed industry represented by the International Seed Federation (ISF), has met and will continue to meet the challenge of increasing agricultural production.

Food is not under pressure, the drug and pesticide companys are the ones that are creating this problem with commercial farming.

small villages and cities and towns can just keep blindly reproducing without any or much legal or moral culpability. some us dont complain about the gmo's per se, because we support some degree of genetic engineering, but only if it's the hands of comprehensive governments or business's (which it is not yet)monsanto does not seem to be an expensive enough business to produce decent mutations in our foods, that in turn cause obvious non-fatal genetic benefits to our species.

but parents allover the world from the start of recorded history, have always had moral if not cultural and literal documents to be permitted to do what they want with their children,it seems the problem some are having this day, is that they dont want a singular corporation to control your kids, but the poor village peoples of earth have not yet proven or shown they have enough understanding of complex global economics to be relevant parents with adult comprehension of world needs.

People are slaves, the chains are invisible. governments own people, but corporations and banks own the government. people do not "own: anything, not even their own lives. if you think you own your home, try not paying taxes on it, its taken away, its rented. if a corporation likes your property, its can be taken from you ( emanate domain ). the solution to world food problem can be solved organically, in a self sufficient manner, but corporations mislead the public in believing otherwise.

No need for Eugenic chemicals, GMOs have been shown to cause sterility in animals after a few generations.

To have a kid in the future means you will have to buy a permit from some corporation. the plan is simple, Water will be privatized, you wont even be able to collect it from your roof. food will HAVE to be purchased, growing in your back yard will be illegal, the chemicals in food and air will keep you dependent on medicine to just function. and to have a child means a license.

Agriculture is under pressure, So we not only focus on more production but rather focus on consuming less. We need to fast one day in week or eat less.
