I happened onto the Sundance Film Festivals list of best films and became interested in the throatsinging style music describes in Genghis Blues. I ordered the dvd and when I played it, I was taken aback at the wonderful story unfolding before me. Paul was indeed a marvel and I am truely grateful for the effort that created the film. Paul Pena was a very talented man, but more than that, his persona and essense shines forth in this film. Thanks for posting this video.

i was lucky enough to see paul in the early 70s playing at a summer concert series in worcester ma.I bought his album and it is still one of my favorites. I own the dvd of The Genghis Blues,which is a great film about a truly beautiful person.Thank you paul for your music and most of all your humanity.

bumped into Paul by "Genghis Blues" . I was immediately captivated by his music. Later I bought his album NEW TRAIN: awesome! It's sad that he didn't get the chance to big really BIG. Great talent. I think lots of the great musicians -Bonnie included - should have given him a chance to perform live more often. Sad he's gone. Story: I sent him a cd by a group of Tuvan throat singers who performed live in the streets of Amsterdam and it was a surprise he replied by email to thank me.

An absolute genius. "New train" is one of the all-time great albums. "A bit of alright"= one of my all-time favorite songs.
