I love Lucille Ball, she was an amazing woman! we all miss her so much!
-
Fox hunts are mean.
-
I thought it was great when she said how much she liked Mayor Daley of Chicago who was just hated by Donahue because of the '68 Democratic convention

@MrTheodore37 I disagree. Lucille Ball was a blunt, down-to-earth woman in real life--Dick Cavett described her as a "kind of 'hard-bitten show girl'--a quality I happen to admire." In some later interviews, Lucy's bluntness could sometimes border on surliness, but not, I think, in this interview. She seems low-key and rather charming here.

@Beejjjjjj There are a lot of stupid people on television, having a long career does not make them any smarter, I don't think he has done a good job in this interview.

@sweetpickles87 , Phil Donahue is no idiot. He had one of the longest and most successful runs as a talk show host in history.
-
Lucille seems so defensive. Almost unpleasant.
-
Why is this idiot interviewing the one and only Lucille Ball? He is horrible.
-
Mame is one of my favorite movies of all time.
I love "Mame"!! I've seen it many times.

@sweetpickles87 , it's very easy to dismiss someone as stupid or an idiot, but simple name-calling with no context is meaningless. His job as an interviewer is to illicit information from his subject. How has he failed in this case? What information were you expecting him to obtain from her that he didn't, and how would you have done better?
