Well, you realize there are two types of Catholics. Roman Catholic (First one established in Christ) Then Eastern Catholics, who are Protestant. I'm Roman Catholic.... and proud!!! :)

:-) My original point - what started this thread - was that people don't "hate" RCC because of envy, but for good reasons. It was a reply to MagugaloProductions's ridiculous claim.

Now, as for faith, the question is why would you have faith that ANY god exists. And then why would you have faith that YOUR PARTICULAR version of god is the true one.

@grozde You are correct, we are way off track. I missed where I should show why you should have faith. I believe that you should have faith to save your soul from eternal punishment, but since you don't believe in God, this is a fruitless discussion. Not sure why you feel the need to disparage others' beliefs but I must move on. Pax Christi, grozde.

1. You're wrong about the "spontaneous matter".

2. An exterior force IS present. It's called "Nature".

3. EVEN IF we knew nothing about how matter come up in existence, you still have to go a LONG WAY to prove that A god created it, and then - to prove that YOUR particular god did it ;-)

All these, however, have nothing to do with MY ORIGINAL point.

Sin is a dumb concept. However, I accept that being/doing wrong is not unique to faith. This still doesn't show WHY shall I have faith.

@grozde Evidence? There is no evidence for spontaneous matter formation. Not even within the hallowed halls of quantum physics. Simply stated, a rock will not appear on my table unless it is placed there by some force. Additionally, the book which is currently on my table will not move unless moved by some force. I am not a Physicist or a Theologian but it seems to me that the evidence would suggest that some exterior force must have set the universe in motion.

Sin is not unique to faith.
