So this is like a pendulum with a set of repelling magnets, one magnet on the pendulum and one repelling magnet at the bottom of it's path of arc. As you to push the pendulum towards the bottom of its arc you encounter resistance as the magnets repel each other. Once you reach the center, it will shoot away in the direction you were pushing it? This arrangement should be able to shoot the car from either end.

  • @simhopp

The stationary array of magnets would have to be aligned to repel those on the car otherwise it would instantly stick to the closest magnet. It would be impossible for the car travel through a phalanx of magnets on both sides repelling it back towards the hand pushing it? It seems to get sucked in and pushed out. Stationary magnets don't do that. There's got to be something else propelling this car though the magnets.

  • @ChilesGreen

well, I guess a hill is better analogy than a spring.

the magnet track is like a hill.

if you push car up the hill and let it go at the top, the car will run down hill and continue to run untill the friction eventually stop the car.

in this case, if you insert the magnet block into the track against push of magnets of the track to certain threshhold,

it is then shooting out of track kinda like a car going down the hill.

The car is propelled through what we're to assume are a stationary array of magnets. If this thing worked as appeared, an armature with little cars attached to it would spin without any energy input. Perpetual motion is impossible. The problem with your explanation, this so called spring was never loaded to unload. Something besides those magnets is propelling the car.

  • @Zorrobeat

    this is not perpetual motion.

the initial push of the car by hand, into the rail, is what is powering the system.

the track is working as a spring, stores the energy and releae it at the other end.

  • You'd figure they would have made a gun using this idea or something.

  • PERPETUUM MOBILE!

  • Hello Friend, My name is Renan and I am Brazilian and sisters wanted to know was that you use to make the cart go faster ... I loved this way of speeding things with magnetism, first time I see something, if I could send videos on magnetism, because I'm very fan!

  • do a larger path and you'll see the difference

  • booooorrrinnnggg get more powerful magnets
