A compilation of 2003-04 Atlanta Hawks footage, from Stephen Jackson's lone campaign in the ATL. This step is commonly overlooked in his career trajectory but ultimately proved to be vital to his emergence as a top player. Initially, he took a back seat to established Hawks veterans (Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Jason Terry) -- but once he got comfortable he averaged 24 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 3.5 APG. He was the league's leading scorer in April and the 7th leading scorer in March.

The mix is relatively short -- and stylistically simple -- but it's the only place you will see Stephen Jackson highlights from the 2003-04 season.

Enjoy!

  • Good mix. Its nice to see a rare mix like this. I didnt get the chance to see Captain Jack to play with the Hawks but watching this, he reminds me of how Joe Johnson plays with the Hawks right now. It's similar highlights and similar shot selection. I wish Stephen Jackson could be a Hawk...so him and Joe can be a great tandem. It would really help the Hawks to have someone who can score.

  • That's a great comparison and one I make frequently.

Jack was Joe Johnson before Joe Johnson was, and if Jack had stuck around in ATL, his individual accolades would be more recognized - as opposed to his reputation given by the mass media.

  • its a fucking shame that Step Jack doesnt get the respect he is due he is one of the top players in the league but the media always portray him as a bad person and they rather make kobe seem like the best player in the league ...hmmm let me c getting into a fight u didnt even start is apparantly worse than raping some one hmmm thats interesting fuck the haters Step Jack is that BEST

  • I wish the dude would of stayed with my Spurs, who knows what could of happened. To me he is a shooting guard/small foward. and that is what my team has been missing the past couple years. When he did play with the Spurs he would play the 3 alot. He played along side manu alot. Him and manu now are still beast with allot more experience.
