Thanks for posting this video. I've seen numerous photos of Osprey 2's online, but this is the first vid.

This craft looks totaly sinkable and the cameraman is shaking very badley . i have seen a coonass peroe with more boyancy, i beleave in it,s ability to fly but lol controling it with minimum boat wake , if nothing else bolt some styro core pontoons to the nose of this little duck and raise that nose. this could save salvage cost on a chopy lake, and keep cameraman sober.

Great to see one finally flying, I have been searching for Osprey links for some time. It does seem to ride low in the water, has that been a problem for you. Looking for any active links to Osprey builder's/owners and video taken from a tripod perhaps. Good effort though and thanks. Remember lol and soxeyer this is an amphibian - it can land on water and tarmac..I'll wager your aircraft hangs on a string from the ceiling!! lol.

Actually the low wing design lifts better because the water itself blocks the air and amplifies the ground effect kicking the airplane out of water and into the step quite quickly.
A high wing design not only would lack this effect but would need longer and stronger floaters on the wing tips adding weight. Being of wooden construction salt water is harmless.
