Van Jones told the East Bay Express in 2005: (a SF newspaper) I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th [1992], and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist. (...) I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.

@FreedomInAmerica Van Jones is not a "self avowed communist" and your video does not in any way show that he is. Your first link is to a video of Glenn Beck *claiming* that Jones is a Communist with no proof whatsoever but declaring that the government has to investigate his claims. He then criticizes Jones for once signing a document that demanded the government investigate claims about 9/11. So, Beck can demand investigation of claims with no evidence, but Jones can't? Seriously?

I've seen Van speak many times, and he knocked it out of the park again this time. He's one of the most powerful, inspiring speakers for the progressive movement. "WE are the authors of hope...If there's a hope gap in America, don't look to the White House. The slogan was never 'Yes HE can.' The slogan was 'Yes WE can.' And we still can." Thank you, Van.

What the hell is "Green" mean really? I don't see anywhere in the world that and industrialized nation has capitalized on this fairytale.
