  • Hi Friends, I'm very please to announce that my very first website djangelmoraes is almost ready. Every AM track, accapellas, sounds, bass-lines etc at your fingertips. Also available the music of Shelton Cooper and a slew of demos and pre-production material that as a member you can produce along side us or twist and turn at your leisure with your creativity.

  • @angelmoraes07

I have been asked to post the original to this. The one on "Hot'N'Spicy".

I may aswel ask the man himself if that is ok.

    Cheers H

  • With all due respect to Lady Ga-Ga and all these newer girly-divas, dance music has decayed to crap. What happened to the soul and funk of dane music?

  • @aekimchee2 Wikipedia: "The common element of house is a prominent kick drum on every beat (also known as a four-on-the-floor beat), with hi-hat cymbal-patterns that nearly always include a hi-hat on quaver off-beats between each kick, and a snare drum or clap sound on beats two and four of every bar. This pattern derives from so-called "four-on-the-floor" dance beats of 1970's disco drummers." Roger Sanchez is listed as #1 house DJ on about.com, but by this definition, he doesn't play house!

  • @soundscape718: Right, and what people call "house music" nowadays isn't house at all! It's pure electro. No swing beat, no syncopation, no funk. Anyone calling that house has no sense of the history of the term or the genre. Sadly, most of the great DJs aren't active or play electro crap to stay "current." Derrick Carter still spins old school Chicago jack, but his last show @D36 was half empty. Jellybean Benitez still occasionally does sets of deep funky groove here in NYC for us oldsters.

  • Still great after all these years, classic Mark!

  • @brendanbuyers2009 - I ask myself the same question everyday!

where is the soul, gospel, jazz and african percussion quality to the music.

These day I focus exclusively on singing gregorian chant, but I miss the old days of the discoteques and radio shows. We need some kinda revolution to revigorate the music eh?

  • A personal fave this one. Stayed in the box for years.

  • mark picchiotti is amazing. :)

thought that this was the original but I like mark picchiotti's remixes he did for the track.
