Balut is a Filipino delicacy. This is not your ordinary egg. It's a nearly developed duck embryo boiled to perfection then enjoyed with a pinch of rock salt. MMMmmm....good.....

I miss eating balut, I grew up in the philippines so it doesn't really disgust me as much as other people. Oh how I miss the streets of Cebu.

Balut. <3 I was born with it. When I was really young, durring el shadai, my mom'd buy me 3 young balut eggs(no chick inside, just the yellow). I'm now 14, I can buy them at my local vietnamese store(the older ones with the little chickies). I can't believe my younger cousins, who also grew up with balut, would eat it ONLY when she doesn't see it.
