I guess I'm never surprised by the comments people make online, but I am surprised that so often people feud over culture: whether it's Graff beef, Emo/Punk beef, Hip-Hop history bragging rights beef, battle beef, pretentious musicianship beef, or whatever, sometimes it seems as if there are more arguments than conversations happening over culture online -- at least that's what I see sometimes when I post video, most recently with Kings of Leon, wherein folks were spouting off left and right, calling out an entire nation, plus a roster of individuals including Bush, 50 Cent, Radiohead, Eminem, Kings of Leon, Pitchfork music writers...ugh. So I put some of the very different comments over parts of KOL's set. The entire string of comments is at the first KOL video I posted here. I personally really dug APW and tho' I love camping, I wasn't expecting that to be the case really for this festival and that was OK. I'll also note that for me personally, being in the shadow of the WTC was, surprisingly, weirder than I expected, and that beautiful and understated stage design kinda haunts one a lil', in its similarity to the WTC facade. At the end of the day, as I say in this video, enough wars are waged in the name of nationalism and religion. Why add music to the list? Spare me. Set this video to "high quality" if you can.
So nice of you to entertain us Americans !?
