Can it open school infrared doors what can be open with magnetic chip?
-
@rsmoz No special drivers are necessary. The RFID breakout uses FTDI drivers which are easily available if not already installed. Then you just need a terminal. As mentioned before, Arduino is an easy way to get a Terminal on Mac
-
@rsmoz I believe it was Arduino terminal and Processing working together.
-
What terminal program are you using on the Mac?
-
how do I set this up on my Mac? Downloaded and installed the drivers.

@emullaraj He states in the video that it doesn't have an internal antenna...

Hello Tim, you are doing a really great work with this video tests. I'm working with ID-2 chip and the reason why it didn't "beep" is because this reader doesn't have an integrateg antenna like ID-12 and ID-20, so you have to build one by yourself and it will work.
Hope to see this test too! :)

My Sparkfun RFID not connect !!!, my money thrown away. Black box pins do not connect well to the printed circuit, someone had my problem?. Sorry for my English
This video is great! You should do one like it for rangefinders, GPS or LCD's. Or all of them!
