My tribute to the first, youngest, and only son. I am totally obsessed with the history of his family so I had to make this video. I have to say, Alexei was the most adorable baby that I had ever seen and he was so inspiring and strong. I love his philosophy in living every day like it is your last.

For everyone who is unfamiliar with him, we was the youngest child and only son of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. He was a Grand Duke and Tsarevich in the early 20th century and he is most famous for his lifelong hemophilia which is a rare blood disorder. He was murdered on July 17 1918 and he was only thirteen years old. For more information on hemophilia, click on this link:http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/hemophilia-topic-overview

I chose this song for Alexei because of his disease and how he lived out every day like it was his last, and how he stood strong while waiting for a cure.

song: A Little Bit Longer
artist: Jonas Brothers
album: A Little Bit Longer
pix: Photobucket

I OWN NOTHING BUT THE VIDEO ITSELF!

  • This is an excellent video. I'm glad I found it. Alexei remains an inspiration to millions, bless him. And bless you for this wonderful tribute :)

  • @MessengerMagi

    thanks bless you too :)

  • I swear I just about cried while watching this.

The murder of the Romanovs was horrible. The Bolshevicks killed the whole family so cruelly. With Alexei's disorder, there was no possible way he would've survived the shooting.

And he was so young. He had barely lived his life. Just 4 more years and we would've outgrown his hemophilia, according to his doctor.

  • oh my goodness ur comment seriously made me want to cry. I agree that the murders wee extremely cruel and i think that Alexei would have been an amazing Tsar. He was almost fourteen and if he outgrew the hemophilia, he would have had a long, amazing life.

  • happy birthday alexei! :)

  • SUPER!!!

  • wow. I love viewing these wonderful collections of photo's of Alexei and his family, but it always makes me sad Alexlei didn't even get to experience life. Had he lived to entire history of Russia could have been dramatically different and better, and world would have been a better place. TY

  • he is so beautiful

  • Wonderful tribute to Sunbeam! Thank you!

  • Thank you for the lovely (and sad video). - Helen

  • Yeah, he would've lived a lengthy prosperous life as an emperor.

Even though his father wasn't a good Tsar doesn't mean Alexei would've made bad decisions too.

But the Reds and their want for a Communist Russia thought otherwise. Even though communism always fails in a large setting, such as a place like Russia. It works for little towns and stuff, like the hippy communes, but not for millions of people.
