Fouad Mourtada Gets Three Years for Phony Facebook Page in Morocco. Just weeks after posting the spoof profile, Fouad Mourtada was allegedly kidnapped and tortured before standing trial on charges of "villainous practices" and royal identity theft. Rachid is the brother of Morocco's king Mohamed VI, who may not know that there are literally thousands of phony profiles on Facebook, none of which is taken seriously.

Basically, some Moroccan guy set up a facebook account pretending to be one of the Moroccan royal family. He got sentenced - ludicrously - to several years in prison.

They let him out after less than a month though.

  • I dont understand this whole situation? I just read it in a danish newspaper, please someone explain?

  • The moroccan goverment should be ashamed of themself! They just let a healthy smart moroccan boy rot in jail for 3 year, Beacause he was joking! Way to go,,,,Morocco is a rolemodel for the tyrannic states muslims people have to suffer under! This is not Islam, this is not human, this is not democracy. This is Insanity, terror and barbarism!
