These are my UFC 143 Diaz vs Condit Predictions. Who do you think will win?
After welterweight king pin Georges St. Pierre got injured, top contenders Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit meet for the interim title. Diaz being the former Strike Force champion while Condit is the former and last WEC welterweight champion. Both come to finish the fight, both are killers, both want GSP.
The UFC vs. Strikeforce heavy weight fights continue as "Big Country" Roy Nelson takes on Fabricio Werdum. Both very credible on the ground, but who will take it on the feet?
Long time top contender Josh Koscheck meets Mike Pierce in a welterweight grudge match as well as top bantam weight contenders Renen Barao and Scott Jorgensen.
Also, Ed "Short Fuse" Herman meets Clifford Starks to open up the night.
*Diaz vs Condit breakdown*
Both of these guys are killers, both come out there to put you away. Nick Diaz is among the top pound for pound fighters in the world, and I take nothing away from him in this prediction. He has arguably the best cardio in all of MMA, and his hands are deadly, and his ground game deadlier. I think Diaz will have problems in the UFC against the divisions top wrestlers, as well as guys who can clip him and follow up. We saw Diaz have problems getting dropped by Daley and Zaromskis, as well as having trouble dealing with Cyborg's leg kicks. Condit will mix his strikes (punches, kicks, knees) and he has the power to rock Diaz.
We saw Penn do well against Diaz in the first round of their fight. I think Condit can improve on what Penn couldn't cause of his poor cardio.
Cardio advantage goes to Diaz for sure, as well as pure BJJ skills. Condit has very good BJJ as well, and his cardio is also good along with his great striking and power. I think Diaz will have more gas as the later rounds come on, but Condit will still have enough to not be too tired. I think Condit's diverse attack and power will be able to counter Diaz's aggressiveness and volume of strikes. I see him dropping Diaz on multiple occasions and being able to finish him when he sees an opening. Something lesser fighters couldn't do.
Condit has all the tools to finish Diaz (striking, power, submission skills) the only thing he doesn't possess is the pure wrestling skills of a GSP, Koscheck, or Fitch. I think Carlos will put all these skills to use to defeat Diaz, but I wouldn't be surprised if Nick put on a boxing clinic and beat up Condit for all 25 minutes.

Just what does Nick Diaz need to do to get recognised for what he is, just about the greatest welterw8 in the world? Perhaps if he KO'd BJ Penn and GSP in the same evening? Or would he have to add Kimbo Slice as well? I don't mean that U were disrespectful. Quite the contrary, and you acknowledge it was a tough pick and could go either way. Seems U don't think Strikeforce had real competition, and there I disagree. Oh, and Josh Koscheck 4evuh!!!

@ViciousVince Maybe beat GSP or any other wrestler. Since his last stint in the UFC he hasn't fought any wrestlers, and all his loses in the UFC are to wrestlers. I just think he's been given the right guys outside the UFC.
I think he's one of the best welterweights in the world, even one of the best fighters in the world. We just need to see how he does against the rest of the division first I believe. Since, lets be honest, he hasn't fought competition this high up in a while.
