Oh.... has it gotten worse? i ended up using exhaust cement and put it around the edges of the manifold... seem to do the trick...

Can't remember the name of the place that machined it. A south african dude in Henderson (down Te Pai Place) did the work. Taylor Automotive in central auckland can also do it, but I've heard mixed results about quality & they cost a fair bit more.
Rough Costs:
$180 Machining / welding
$ 70 Gasket
$ 10 Studs etc.

I just had it fixed. Took the manifold off, had a workshop weld a new lug on to the end (like the facelift models) & machine it flat again. New gasket & bolt it back on (this time with an extra bolt to prevent it from happening again).
I would not recommend exhaust cement - if it breaks off there is only one place it can go (i.e. through the turbo...).

I posted this vid a year ago. Still haven't fixed it - as soon as the car heats up (2 minutes driving) the manifold expands and the gap closes. Not sure how much longer it will last before needing fixing, but I'll keep driving until then.
