  • Homeless people are not lazy. YOU are intellectually lazy, QuantumQuacks, to make such ignorant, sweeping generalizations.

  • One does not just "get back to work" or "quit cold turkey" or "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" when one has an addiction.

The majority of the homeless are NOT out on the streets asking for money. They are staying in shelters at night and trying to "blend in" during the day. Some DO have jobs. Some are working MULTIPLE jobs.

The average age of a homeless person in Indianapolis is NINE YEARS OLD. These kids' parents have lost their jobs and couldn't pay their mortgage/rent. (cont.)

  • Have you ever visited a homeless shelter?

The homeless you see pan-handling on the street are only a tiny fraction of any city's total homeless population. They are usually the homeless who have a severe mental illness. They need TREATMENT but can't pay for it. They need MEDS but can't afford them. The others you see on the street are addicts. Addiction is serious and also needs TREATMENT. (cont.)

  • great video...use to live in Indy...makes me home sick!

  • Yeah. You are naive.

    Naive like Gandhi

    Like Desmond Tutu

    Or naive like Nelson Mandela.

Never underestimate the power of love, compassion, and the voice of one who dares stand up!

I more than merely agree with what you say, and I wish there was more I could do to support this change of focus from consumerism and back to Jesus.

  • Typical Rob Bell wanna be. Consumerism? While you drink a $4 Starbucks Coffee???

  • 100% Agree With You

    Thank You For Doing This!
