This video is about making custom motor mounts instead of the ones supplied with the kit. I am going for strength and power transfer. The mounts supplied by StreetBeast were a bit chinsy for the HP I want to put in this cobra.

  • isnt it bad for u-joints to have zero angle?

  • I would say that it is impossible to have zero angle. The motor is always moving and the rear suspension moves as well. The stress on a u-joint under load is more evenly distributed the straighter the axle is. Once the drive shaft moves and puts a vector stress on it there are only a couple of points absorbing all of the load. Keeping it straight reduces the chances of blowing it out under extreme loading.

  • You are a true inspiration. Keep 'em coming! I check once a week to see if you have uploaded. It helps a lot!!. Thanks

  • Thank you very much....I'm trying the best I can. I am so glad I help someone!

  • GOOD JOB MY FRIEND GOOD JOB!!!!

  • Thank you very much! My goal is to make this Cobra absolutely unique and a show car from top to bottom. That and making it look like it is not a Street Beasts kit...lol

  • @CoolCarsHotGuitars ah ok, good to know for this novice builder

  • Absolutely. They are pretty cool

  • Sounds good, can you post a video after you get the doors working?

  • A little slow waiting for the owner and some parts. But I am working on the Lambo door hinges and fitting the body parts.
