  • Reni was the KEY to Love Spreads!!! I always wondered how a song so BADASS and aggressive and sooo ROCK AND ROLL managed to sound so COOL and laid back at the same time. No other pure rock and roll song has this magic. It's Reni's drumming. He makes Love Spreads so smooth and classy and pure and COOL. Combine this with Squire's insane guitar playing. Good God, they better play this live.

  • @braddyboy82 I sincerely hope they will play a couple of Second Coming tracks at least, to hear them played live by Reni for the first time. Love Spreads was their highest charting single. I would imagine they'll play it.

  • great upload i just wish we could somehow get breaking into heaven daybreak and more second coming tracks isolated like this!

    great work blurry 67

  • @MrEamonn77 My pleasure! If someone knows how to break songs into isolated tracks, I for one would be very interested to hear the ones mentioned!

  • Loooove Reni

I wish The Rub had worked for Reni. A friend who ran Reni's The Rub web site sent me the songs.

I need to learn to upload stuff on here and share them

  • @rosencain That would be great! :D

  • The whole music section of The Roses were underrated. John Squire's wailing guitars, Reni's funky drumming and Mani's understated bass playing should all be adored.

  • Nicely played Blurry67.

Best drummer of his generation, no disputing, simple as. The Roses were nothing without him, as was quite adequately proved once Robert Maddix came in to try and fill his shoes. Nice try Robbie, but sadly you convinced noone.

  • Fantastic! Thanks for uploading this gem!

  • soon my prescious!

  • I love this stuff. I've been playing guitar (badly) and singing (badly) for 30 years. I had my first drum lesson last week. I reckon I'll get this song cracked by Wednesday.

  • @downjones72 So, are you rounded enough on the drums to claim that? I’ve been playing for 10 years and Reni’s the best drummer I’ve come across; the complexity, fluidity and dexterity of playing, and his unmatchable range. That includes jazz, swing, rock drummers etc. Have you ever seen Reni play live? Or have you just listened to this one track and made this judgement? I have found the people who qlways overreact are the Bonham sycophants. Try Jaki Liebezeit for anything stunning drummer.

  • @Vugam You overreact, I find. He's a very good drummer but come on, a lot of people who can play the funk can play this. People should get out of the rock n roll drummer thing and grasp funk drumming as well and then you'll see it ain't THAT special as everyone is raving about. Not dissing Reni, not by far, but merely adding some perspective. And Bonham didn't have the swing Reni had? So untrue. Are you rounded enough on the drums to claim something like that?

  • yes, yes, but can he play Never Gonna Give You Up ?

  • @troonvillan

No. Put headphones in and you can hear the Reni's drum mics picking up Mani's bass.

  • Is this just someone playing along to the song ?
