Submitted to Digital Media and Learning Competition. NanoLab: Social ArtSci Networked Discourse (SAND) is based on a summer program for high school students that is not running for the third year. This proposal is to help launch social network satellites in physical locations and connect students through on/offline class on Nano_Biotech + Art. We seek to have these social gatherings year round and cross generational but led by young leonardos. The class is taught SAND teachers -- all fluent bilingual speakers who will not only help establish these locations but bring back news and mediate the dialogue with students in the USA. NanoLab is supported by Leonardo network, UCIRA and has an established relationship with institutions that are eager to host these workshops and gatherings.
The whole idea is wonderful and is up to day. We need a lot more information on nanotechnology and art. Forming the youth is the best way to form the knowledge. I wish I were a young girl now with all those oportunities. It could jelp think a little more oF Brazil, more oportunities for the youngs to get together.

this would be an epic opportunity for any young person around the globe. with the world of technology advancing at an ever-accelerating pace, this kind of inter-connected inter-disciplinary learning would almost seem an integral necessity to keep us ahead of the game!
