For your information, Khmers have been in Southeast Asia before you Thais (Siam) came down from Nanchao, China after fleeing the Mongol hords. Khmers had been Indianized during the first century. So there!!! You have internet access do some research on Khmer History!

I am Thai and I can speak Khmer but never heard "Krung" and "Ratchatany" in Khmer.
For "Thep" or "Thephayada" or "Thepthida" or "Thephabut" are from Bali Sansakrit and Most of Khmer are from the sameplace too.

A lot of Khmer words are in the Thai language however they pronounced a little different. Khmer Empire as early 779 to 1431.....Thailand came into existence present day Thailand in 1238 after it carved from Khmer's domains.

Khmer language is a language from tribe in northeast India which was influenced by Sanskrit and Pali......Thai language was modeled and/or borrowed from Khmer!!!
The full name of Bangkok is not from Khmer.

If you speak Surin Khmer then it's not surprising you wouldn't know those words in Khmer, Surin uses the Thai pronunciation of most Sanskrit/Pali words.
กรุง = ក្រុង
ราชธานี = រាជធានី etc.
While it's true that the words come from Sanskrit, many of them first entered Thai via Khmer, not to put anyone down, it's just an historical fact. Thais have only been in SEAsia since the 1100s, Khmers a lot longer.
