DHA ~ Sparkster Level 5 of Evil (Part 1)

May be 2 or 3 parts? (laugh) Lack of spirit in this vid and an alignment mess-up? And the evil "crosshair/spikes" area, I kinda make..."naughty" sounds while panicking :p You're supposed to slash the barriers ^^;

It's...kinda hard to say. You'll either like it or hate it. I hated it at first. But it does have a certain cool toon-like effect. It really does look unique. You'll just have to judge for yourself. The gameplay is just as awesome as the SF3 gameplay, at least.

Gah, never liked Mortal Kombat. Sure, I'm sure it was awesome with moves that let you disembowel your foes back in '94, but where's the substance?

When I think of bad-looking 3-D, I think of Mortal Kombat 4. Is it like that?

Well, Capcom have tried 3D-izing Street Fighter time and time again, only to fail miserably. It's true that SF4 is in 3D, but the 3D is extremely 2D-ish with cartoon-like oversized polygons. And the gameplay is still 2D.

The new King of Fighters, KOF XII, will be 2D, though.

It can't possibly do with age demographics. I mean how long has Street Fighter been 2-D?

That won't happen. Even if it would be any good, people wouldn't bother with some old revived platform series from the 90's. Konami would have to spend millions in promotion to have it sell well. There are many GREAT games that got crappy sales figures because of poor PR, like Beyond Good & Evil and the 3 latest Prince of Persia games. I say a WiiWare sequel would be a lot more likely, and if THAT would sell well...then maybe a 3D Sparkster would come some day.

Actually, I believe "thanks" are in order. I'm really hooked on these games right now, this and the SNES Sparkster. They ARE great, and I cannot believe that Konami forgot about this series. So thanks!

Another idea for a revival of the RKA series would be a WiiWare release. If Shantae, a smalltime Game Boy Color classic that nobody has ever heard about, can get a WiiWare sequel, then why wouldn't Konami be able to make a new RKA in that format too? That shouldn't cost Konami too much money.
