"which are to be consumed whether you're hungry or not"... maybe your body doesn't need food at the moment and eating when you aren't hungry is how you got fat in the first place?! if you haven't eaten in half a day, you should prob eat even if you aren't hungry. but skipping a meal or snack here and there when we aren't hungry is better. speeding up your metabolism should be done more with exercise than by shoving food in when you don't need energy (calories) and having it be stored as fat.
If you want it even healthier don't have meat with every meal, get protein from foods like nuts, seeds, beans, eggs,tofu etc. on occasion instead. Meat takes about one week to pass through your system and vegetables only about 24hrs.
well I have posted this comment 8 months ago and I have now lost 50 pounds... I love this diet it truly changed my life. But it is not magic you must exercise. It is all about proportions in your food. I have done this diet now for little over a year now. I have lost the weight got a girl friend and joined a sports team. Try it because it is not really low carb because with no carb you become sluggish and ... well it's bad. this is the way to go.
vegetables and fruits have fiber, they are the carbs, and they have a very low glycemic index, which is why this works. very big misconception out there.
