This is a complete XBOX 360 JTAG Tutorial using the Transistor Method. This video shows everything from disassembly of the XBOX to soldering and wiring to installing FSD and Dash Launch.

I am providing no software, you must find this yourself *auto xbins*.

What you need:
XBOX 360 Case Disassembly Tools
30 Gauge Kynar Wire, 22 Gauge Solid Core Wire, LPT Plug/LPT Cable
Plies, Screw Drivers, Wire Snips etc.
Soldering Iron, Solder, Flux Paste, etc.
Rubbing Alcohol, Q-Tips.
100 Ohm Resistors 1/4w
10K Ohm Resistors 1/4w
2x 2N3904 Transistors
1N914/1N4148 Auto-Switching Diodes
JTAG Wiring Diagrams for Transistor Method and LPT Cable
Other things, can't remember, watch video!

  • cont.. 5) shrink wrap those exposed leads, you already have the tools 6) big one: You are clearly using resin based flux; for a PCB this populated you should have used no-clean kester liq flux NOT resin based flux, you will cause shorts 7) your iron tip is to big and judging from that, not adjustable temp, not good for PCB soldering you can damage traces, etc... 8) Dont heat the solid core wire to solder, heat the joint. thats 101... 9) how u did the resistors is how you should have done the wir

  • This is a horrible example of soldering. 1) You should have de-soldered the LPT connections, not added solder. Poke the solid core though and solder it. bang perfect and perm. 2) Your leads are way to long. The shelding on wire not only protects from shorts but also breaking. 3) JUMPING GROUND to GROUND??????? not even... 4) Infact, you should have installed shouded headers into those LPT jacks thats what there for and used ribbon, not single wire but thats ok 5) shrink wrap the leads (outofchar
