He should try at high tide, thats usually when beginners go out. For experienced Skimmers they should try low.

I'm IN LOVE WITH IT! I want to go to surf camp just to do it! To bad i live where there are barely any beaches

if that's cherry grove pier we were doing resuce drills out tier this summer. It's actually prety decent waves near the pier during a nice wind. But south carolina is NOT the place to find good skimboarding
