Turkish Oriental style, watch for a little hali mixed in! I did this video to see if I could do this style. When I was in Turkey I noticed some danced with their arms hanging at their sides, mixed in Supermodel walk and attitude, didn't smile much, lots of chest 'pops' and circles and they all did angular Pharonic arms. A lot of the steps seemed really repetitive and sharp. If you like Egyptian style Oriental dance...don't watch this...you will like my other videos better! :) The music is by Harem, Turkish percussion group.

good job re-enacting this new trend in belydancing in turkey... i like some of the older styles like tanyeli

Finally someone got that I was kind of mocking. This is my least favorite video and my most popular one! I agree Tanyeli is good and I also like Hale Sultan.

Yeah, this isn't really my style. If you read the description you will see I was trying to dance similar to the dancers I saw in Turkey. Often they went for the 'brooding' look, I don't think it looks very good with bellydance either.

Yes today I filmed during the afternoon to get some natural lighting, I hope it is a little better.
