A huge weapon in the arsenal of Mitsuharu Misawa makes its debut against Jun Akiyama. The Emerald Flowsion has since become a move that very few have kicked out of, and has aided Misawa extensively in the winning and defending of many titles. Note how the move is ever so slightly different than the version we know so well today.

  • I love how the announcers yell What Was That!

  • Actually, the announcer is saying "Oh doshita!!!" The rough translation is "Is he okay?!?!?"

  • Misawa was one of the greatest of all-time & I was really sad to know he passed away 2 months ago. He wrestled for an incredible 25 years. His death was a huge loss to the world of Puroresu. This move was one of Misawa's masterpieces.

  • is Samoa Joe's Island Driver and the Emerald Flowsion the same move?

  • One of my favorite Puroresu workers second to Mutoh and one of the most devistating finishers of all time.

  • That's got to suck to take.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon: That's an appropriate response in any language.

    R.I.P. Misawa. :(

  • @epic576 I'd probably have a heart attack, too, if I had INTERNALLY. DECAPITATED. MYSELF.

    =[

But seriously, Misawa had an amazing career and is surely among, if not the, best in the world. His legacy and his legend will live on.

  • that's my move, i didn't know it was already being used, back to the drawing board

  • RIP.

  • if the crowd hadn't cheered... i wonder if he would have kept using it?

  • I can see that Misawa was a little cautious of using this move the first time.

  • R.I.P. Misawa!

  • He internally decapitated himself when the back of his neck sheared in two. Suffered a heart attack at the same time. RIP Misawa
