Nope. The event has an NPC who just plain *gives* you the unit (among other things) if you trade him a certain amount of Ban-photons. No other item is required.

SO how does getting the Ban Photons help me (which i already have a max set of those..) Wont i need to find the board/something to get that unit? And if so, where do i find that.

To get that flaming unit seen in the video. It's arguably the best non-CAST extra unit in the game even on JP.

That and a bunch of event-exclusive decorations et. cetera.
