Abrams is a fucknut piece of shit director. There is no escaping the ugliness of his so-called style. All that camera swaggering and lens flares. He thinks this a style but it is simply shit. The truth is that Mr. Asshole, I mean AbraHAMs didn't like trek and felt it was his right to remake the entire history and turn it into HIS trek. For decades trek was built brick by brick by every actor, writer and director who came into contact with it. Then some ignoramus shows up and decides not just to take it in another direction but to irradicate all that came before? FAIL.

This movie is looked at as "alternate canon". It didn't "destroy" anything except Uhura's character.
