@MindMusik1 OK tell me please......what´s your favorite all time jazz solo (not free jazz). I prefer Clifford 100,000,000 more times than Dave Douglas. But that´s my point of view, I have ears, they need sugar instead of lemon juice.

@jesemus33 Hahaha... Non-sense to the utmost!!! The point of Giant Step's is to not resolve. And if you listen to Coltrane ( thee composer of the tune) He plays endlessly. Picking his resolution points as he see's fit. There is no "typical" metered structure to this tune! It's all about having one large/open canvas to play/shred over!

Hahah at first glance I thought this said "John Petrucci- Giant Steps" and I got so excited. This guy kills though. Love his phrasing.

@JSDuncan2113 WTF are you talking about?!?!?! This is a John Coltrane song "Giant Steps". "..shreds video."???? The fuck are you talkng about?!?! Pssh! He's (Patitucci) playing his version of Giant Steps. Coltrane, respect. Recognize! This is a standard! A classic.

I'm so stoked! My current bass teacher was John Patitucci's teacher

If you're asking for tabs
Chances are you will never be able to play this even with tabs.

Patitucci is brilliant and people who discredit his talent are either jealous or retarded. I find it disgraceful that even though YouTube is a free site and actually rips artists of, morons have the audacity to leave nasty comments. If you want to be an asshole go mess with Wall Street or this nation's banks, who caused the financial decline of this country. Leave artists alone, they are only trying to create something beautiful in this harsh world.
