@Husqvarnah01 u mean the insert? it is an carbide insert on this one there are also CBN inserts or diamond inserts for non ferretic metals

Platten tooling - great ! Much less to go wrong. In this case though I would have designed he block and chosen different tools so that the spindle didn't keep having to change direction - saves strain on the motor and drive.
