From the first regular episode of the series, KITT demonstrates new capabilities, transforming into a radical Attack Mode.

The series saw the subtle ripple/morph transformations replaced with large panel shifting, sort of like the live-action Transformers movie.

This particular example is probably not one of their best, as the CGI doesn't appear completely realistic.

(police officer 2) " big deal, my car talks to me too, it's called GPS"

(KITT) " yes, but can your car do this?"

(KITT goes into attack mode and turbo boosts away from the scene)...
