This 3 minute clip is the personification of Francesa's entire career.
He starts off the segment using a word incorrectly and in a very smug and condescending manner no less. Then rather than show some humility and admit he used the world incorrectly, he spends 2 minutes coming up with the most bizarre and convoluted explanation. In the end, it's the "Listeners" who are blamed for misinterpreting the word not the infallible Francesa.

This might be the best 3 minutes in Sports Radio History.
First of all, there is no "Law of Fungibility". Secondly, I find it highly implausible that a communications major from St. Johns would have taken a coarse in "Contract Law'.
Fungibility refers to something that's "Interchangeable" not something that's "Unique".
Cliff Lee would have a little or no "fungibility" because his skills are unique.
A DH with a .250 BA has a high degree of fungibility because he's easily replaceable.
