Man, I love Floyd, but this is such a challenging song to get through - a little self-indulgent, IMO. Thanks for posting, though.

By the time he was 23, his best years were behind him.




They had to kick him out of Pink Floyd, the band he founded, even though he sang, played lead guitar and wrote all the songs for them. You have to be really out of it if you do all that and they still decide they're better off without you.

True he had a very thrilling and creative 2 or 3 year spurt, but after that it was a lot of madness, sadness and unfufilled promise.

He released two solo albums too though, after he left PF . . . .

Maybe more like a 5 or 6 year spurt?
