@jasonmluna "should" not "have"
-
@dolphwong Nothing he said said or even implied resisting science. He said to allow our more creative parts of our brain to guide our ways, and for us to have discourse in the presence of violence than to react in an animalistic fashion. He never said to not explorer your inner self either. Re-evaluate your judgement before you have a temperamental reaction in light of someone else's beliefs and principles. People are not inherently bad, and you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I would have liked that he talked about over population and why our innate yearn for having children is the problem as well--in addition to the part he talks about where our amygdala and reptilian brain is a force that overcomes our more rational parts of our brains. If people just had one child, our population would decrease by 50% in 40 years. Many of these issues pertaining to The Lucifer Principle would be addressed for the 'violent' problems with human nature.

@iluvpurplestew I re-listened and he beats around the bush but the subtext is clear. Resisting our institutions and globalization, seeking spirituality = resisting science, progress. Couldn't be more wrong, you have to go explore your inner self to know the outer world. He is a douche

@dolphwong your an idiot. watch the video and check your facts before u start calling brilliant people douchebags. He said that as a result of globalization, one of 2 possible futures is an increase in tribal hate groups.
Watch the video, and actually try and listen

So if you resist globalization, i.e. being stripped of your jobs, freedom, and culture, and you don't trust institutions that create war and debt serfdom, you are some sort of tribal fringe hate group. Thanx for the insight Bloom , you douchebag.

i want to model my own thinking after his. i may have finally found a role model worth embracing

FANTASTIC! extremely insightful. This person has clearly done hours and hours of examination and deep thinking/human reflecting/study. Another person who I admire for all his contributions of mind, science and spirituality is Deepak Chopra along with the profound, life changing teachings of Carl Jung and Carolyn Myss.
When he described kids under 20, he perfectly described me. I embraced knowledge and reason.
