The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club was a British television variety show made by Granada Television in the mid 1970s. It was set in a fictional working men's club in the North of England and was hosted by comedian Colin Crompton.
The show featured acts regularly seen on the Northern club circuits.
This song is of their first LP on Philadelphia International Records.

I agree the dog and the live performances are possible, but I'm saying that these things aren't common, as xxxxlowriderxxxx would think. Many of the most popular female music stars have talent.

Sure Rihanna may be sexy and flaunt it often. But if people only cared how she looked they'd just buy her music videos. There must be something good about her music. Same goes for many artists.

And by old I mean people who only like old music and denounce any new music as trash.

A lot of people today give more attention to the package than 'the music' and 'the singing'. You must agree, that technology today is so fantastic, that it is possible to let a dog sing and that the live performances turned into a mix of tricks and special effects. Of course, every generation has their artists who will survive and mostly these performers show they can handle the past too, and have fans of different generations... those will be the survivors. Beside that... what is "old" ?! ;)

That's not fair. What about Erykah Badu or especially Janelle Monae? And honestly Beyonce, Rihanna, and Ciara are good too. You know plenty of old people would have considered acts like the Three Degrees risque or trashy in their time. People have looked down on Jazz, R&R, R&B, Disco, Pop, Hip Hop, and Rap as time has gone on; tomorrow all of them will be "classy and elegant," and the newest trend will be shunned. Shunned by people like you.
