Before Bruce. I much preferred the mix of great playing with the raw punkish vocals of Paul DiAnno. Classic Iron Maiden.

@MoonOvIce Must agree with you even the last few albums before Bruce took a break were awful, the one with Bring your Daughter blah blah and FOTD were dreadful. Then BNW came out and I was really impressed, not so much since 2000.

Bruce Dickinson did not sing on everything else after "Number of the Beast". He left the band in 1993 to pursue a solo career. Blaze Bayley was the vocalist from 1994 - 1999 and sang on two albums; "The X Factor" and "Virtual XI". Dickinson rejoined Iron Maiden in 1999 for "Brave New World" and everything else since then. He has replaced two of Iron Maiden's lead vocalists.

someone tell me what just happened to di'anno?

He wrote the lyrics in 30 minutes and finished 5 mintues before the concert strated. What a genius!

Yeah that was a twenty-year old kid singing- much more growly raw rockin' vocals. Those first two albums get my inner child wanting to fuck shit up every time!

Thank you. I love this so much. I miss those days.
Live at the Rainbow is the first live video recorded by Iron Maiden on 21 December 1980 and released in 1981. It includes one of the earliest Maiden concerts with guitarist Adrian Smith as well as a very early version of "Killers," with lyrics that differ from the album version that would be recorded next year. Paul Di'Anno later admitted writing the lyrics 5 minutes before going on stage that night.
