Pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden achieved success during the early 1980s(w/Paul Di'Anno). • Before Bruce. I much preferred the mix of great playing with the raw punkish vocals of Paul DiAnno. Classic Iron Maiden.

  • @MoonOvIce Must agree with you even the last few albums before Bruce took a break were awful, the one with Bring your Daughter blah blah and FOTD were dreadful. Then BNW came out and I was really impressed, not so much since 2000.

  • @PBANDSNOW

Bruce Dickinson did not sing on everything else after "Number of the Beast". He left the band in 1993 to pursue a solo career. Blaze Bayley was the vocalist from 1994 - 1999 and sang on two albums; "The X Factor" and "Virtual XI". Dickinson rejoined Iron Maiden in 1999 for "Brave New World" and everything else since then. He has replaced two of Iron Maiden's lead vocalists.

  • someone tell me what just happened to di'anno?

  • He wrote the lyrics in 30 minutes and finished 5 mintues before the concert strated. What a genius!

  • Yeah that was a twenty-year old kid singing- much more growly raw rockin' vocals. Those first two albums get my inner child wanting to fuck shit up every time!

  • Thank you. I love this so much. I miss those days.
