  • One of the COOLEST placest ever to go hiking, the vistas are totally unbelievable. You can jump over the streams or walk way up the trails. The vibe of Mt. Lowe gives you all the feelings of the peole from 100 years ago. Add that to the book or pamphlants available, plus a couple DVDs, you really feel it.

The Long Beach Pike is my 2nd favorite & 3rd is cruising Whittier Blvd. way back in the day. Oh my, what a lovely time!

  • Great Videolog of hiking the trail!

  • You guys made me so happy to post these videos! I lived on Leilani Way which is right near by, during the mid-1970s & used to hike up there all the time. I turned a lot of friends on to the history & the area, they loved it, too.

I have a collection of artifacts found at the site from old-timers as well as souvenires. They made over 200 souvenir spoons with Mt. Lowe on them & I even have a Cabinet Photo of Carrie Nation riding the Incline Car. The ruins are fantastic, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • just went there today awesome hike awesome place! thumbs up

  • My favorite hike in Los Angeles

  • @guntardnet oops sorry about that. thanks for the info be well have a great day.

  • @articzoo fires and rockslides destroyed it. or maybe somebody intentionally set the hills on fire.

  • Looks like quite a nice trail

  • This is why Honda made the beloved Honda Trail 90 It would be great to ride one up Mount Lowe. Just Don't ruin anything My Beloved Honda TL250 would be great.

  • Great video, Mitch...I have been interested in the Mt. Lowe incline railway since I was a kid living in Sierra Madre. My grandmother had a little paperweight on her desk and a picture of the incline was on it. This was back in the 40s. I would love to take the hike you and your buddies took but I'm physically unable, but thanks to you I was able to go along. Keep up the good work, I look forward to more hiking ventures with you.
