On August 5, 2011 Toyota announced it would produce an electric vehicle (EV) version of the RAV4 in Woodstock, Ontario. The powertrain for the vehicle will be supplied by Tesla Motors and installed at the Woodstock Toyota plant. Premier Dalton McGuinty and Toyota Managing Driector Ray Tanguay were on hand for the announcement.
@richardandrewsjr I've been in the old Rav 4 EV and seen a Tesla roadster in action. I definitely would get one when I have the chance.

Automotive Solar Panels should come standard. I see none on the RAV4 EV.
Wouldn't solar panels on the roof and hood increase range?
(Trickle Charge)
Why does it take a layman to make this suggestion?

I can't wait to get this. i was going to get a Nissan Leaf, but tesla's battery technology is superior. I always wanted a tesla, and I always wanted a Toyota Rav 4 when I was younger... so this is a dream made in heaven, LOL I would love to get a Tesla model S, but I'm not sure if I can afford it.
