there will sooner be another murali than another warne

@sjperera your comment is outside the game of cricket.

@stj1003 Mind telling me when he ever bent his elbow in such a manner that it would be called chucking, fuckwit? You're just one of those assholes who goes around trying to make good players seem like they aren't because you're just too damn jealous that you couldn't make ANY cricket team when you played. Fucking idiot.

@gypoinc So now you've completely changed your point. Well first things first - you were completely wrong in your original post. Now for the current point. Murali's record in Eng, NZ and WI is superior to Warne ... Murali averages 19, 20, 23, Warne aves 22, 21, 40 ... Murali has a slightly worse average in SA (26 vs 25) ... huh .. so all of those places must have gone around tailor making wickets suited to Murali's style I guess .. who knew! Its a GLOBAL conspiracy against Warne ...
-
@pubuman Noth If you count Murali getting Mohammed Ashraful out while Warne was taking Pietersen's wicket then I agree with you on that point. Murali took wickets against MORE low quality opposition , on wickets which generally suited his style. None of the wickets in Australia, perhaps the odd dust bowl in Sydney suited Warne and that's where he played a great deal of his cricket. Murali played on dry wickets in Sri Lanka tailored to suit him, that's no secret.

@gypoinc Regardless of all this, my original point was to show the nonsense you were spouting with regards to the spread of their wickets in terms of top order / tail enders ... And a further load of nonsense you spouted was about McGrath (who has 282 top order wickets) as opposed to 225 that Warne has. It appears that you have no idea what you are talking about, yet you like to assert things as fact even when its blatantly untrue. Seriously why do you spout such crap?
-
@gypoinc Under the original rules, Warne would have also been "chucking" - just because no one suspected it doesn't mean its so ... sure it looks classical, but the mechanics of bowling are such that there is extension through the elbow. To suggest that the ICC changed the rules to allow Murali to play is utter nonsense ... what was so special about him? the Asian bloc theory doesn't work, other Asian bowlers have had to undergo remedial modifications. Do you believe in all conspiracy theories?
-
@gypoinc First of all, a lot of Murali's wickets against Zimbabwe came when they were quite a decent batting outfit (with the likes of the Flower brothers, Campbell etc in the mix) so excluding all wickets against Zimbabwe is not a fair comparison. Secondly, you are still incorrect about the number of wickets against tail enders. Thirdly Murali's still has a better average and a similar strike rate to Warne. Fourthly, the ICC did not change the rules to accommodate Murali. That's utter nonsense.
-
@pubuman Go on statsguru on cricinfo and take out the wickets Murali scored against Zimbabwe and BD (and do the same for Warne - he only played a combined 4 tests against both teams) and you'll see their records are almost the same. YET, Warne was able to do so without having ICC rules modified to allow him to play.

@chodaboy57 Lol spinners against England ... yeah that's a hard one ...
It' soo sad when these arguments and comments go beyond the game of cricket... what a childish display of humanity.

He did not chuck, he had a very clean action that NOBODY suspected from ANY side whatsoever.. that's a pathetic, ignorant comment and you reference to him being white and aussie is reverse racism. If you look at the stats, he actually got more top order batsmen than McGrath.. in fact it's Murali who has a hell of a lot of tailend wickets and wickets against Bang and Zim, teams Warne barely played.
