BLEPHAROPLASTY (EyeLid) SURGERY:

More commonly referred to as eyelid surgery, the blepharoplasty, corrects excess and puffy tissue around the eyelids. This procedure helps to get rid of the tired and angry look that sagging eyelids can give an individual. Once restored, the eyelid area appears to be refreshed and overall provides an individual with a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

Beyond creating an improved and more beautiful aesthetic appearance, the blepharoplasty can help to restore vision that was lost due to sagging skin. The way the blepharoplasty is conducted depends on the way the eyelid area ages. For some, the eyelid area becomes hollow over time and therefore more fullness must be added into the area. This is done most commonly through a tissue or fat transfer. For others, the eyelid area sags over time and the skin needs to be lifted up in order to provide the patient with a more youthful and alert appearance.

This is done through photo imaging and although your results may vary slightly, imaging is a great educational tool, which allows the patient to see potential changes from the procedure.
