I asked Rob to demonstrate the black rapid RS-4 camera strap. I honestly do not think I would use something like this. I move around a lot and don't like things getting in the way or possibly bouncing off of things. I don't like how your equipment is free to basically bounce off your side or anything you run into.

But I wanted you to see how it worked because maybe it is something that you could find useful.

Let me know what you think of these in store reviews. Do you like them hate them or find them useful, please leave comments.

To pick one of these up call Allen at Allens Camera 215.547.2841

  • Hey Jared...first of all...love your videos! You're just FUNNY! (Even on that vintage cooking video of yours...creepy!!! lol)

I have a question...in what situation would you have a spare body hanging? I mean...what would you need it for? Not having to change lens, perhaps? Cheers!!!!

  • @vinisantos yup to have a second angle readily available.

  • I love my R Strap! D300s with 70-200 2.8 is a common rig that hangs on it all day sometimes. I would suggest trying it on your left shoulder. That way the camera can sit right under your right hand and you are not reaching across your body.

Just something i saw with demo guy using it.

  • @ewijam thats how i use my rs7

  • I own the Black Rapid Strap for two years now, and love it over a traditional strap. I toured around Japan with a Nikon D2 attached to a 24-70mm lens for two weeks and my next was killing me after that trip. Got the Black Rapid Strap no neck issues since! Love it! There is a locking latch so your camera won’t fall off! I shot in a lot of rough neighborhoods and having my camera behind me out of sight out of mind is a good thing.

  • @dmm737 Great to know, thanks

  • Nice information as always! I have to say that for my shooting style, these over the shoulder dangle systems just aren't practical. When leaning forward, sideways or out over something, the camera swings out and clunks against people and other items. I'm a fan of the vest style carriers such as the cotton carrier... the camera bodies (D3s & D700) stay snug and no dangling around. I carry two bodies at once, wide angle and tele... no time for changing lenses. Just my opinion...

  • You can shoot like a Pro.... or a Fro!?

  • I got scared at the beginning of the vid with that big guy!!! :)

  • I use it. It's hot.

  • haha "I would not use one of these, I move a lot and wouldn't want to bounce my camera and big glass around."

  • lmao press 7 repeatedly.. no homo..
