  • @Unevaluated i'm happy to say i'm right that rule has been improoved , now the tackler has to show the ref that he is trying to get out of it like you said but if the opposition "traps" him into the ruck and he tries to get out but he still cant and stops the referee will give a penalty against him, and for beginers its a good vidoe but with expirience u will need better rucking so that you can secure the bal, but i like the way you think :)

  • @drinu0001

that's incorrect i'm afraid. You are right about the tackler, but he would only be penalised if he was slowing the ruck down, it's also ok for him to show the referee he is trying to leave, even if he can't. The first man at the ruck is also allowed to go beyond parralel, especially since he drove the man off the ball, 'diving' involves throwing yourself over the ball without attempting to stay on your feet

  • This is good for beginners.

  • these hep a lot. but the best way to learn is to watch on tv

  • @IamXiaoYo defensive ruck was the first one, offensive ruck was the second one, as he explained

  • I just started playing after 4 years out. Forgot all my body angles :(

  • he said "we're gonna do a defensive ruck" and then at the end he said " that's what we call an offensive ruck"

    which is it?

  • @DrumAndG He can take it and run, but it depends on the situation, if you see a gap. they can go for it. but if they take it out there might be an opportunity out there.

  • can the person who picks up the ball run with it straight away or does he have to pass? and how many people can be involved in the ruck pushing is there a limit? thanks

  • thats illegal now, 1st the tackler has 5seconds to roll away if he doest he gets a penalty against him, 2nd the rucking defender cant go in a ruck like that cos it will be diving and there would be a penalty agains him and if he rucks with his feet paralell he doest have the strength as if he rucks with one leg foward one back, and for safety its better if he grabs the player on the ground by his shirts so if his opposition is stronger and its pushing him away he the ruck will move with him.
