by the way dave citronella oil is piosoness to ingest so id would put your squidgy cup through a boil wash .but great demo to makwe soap, you can also use birch leaves on thier own to wash hair,just steep them in cold water and then wash your hair in it,to wash dishes use the ash and fat from your meal but it s no good for your skin as it is too abraisive. can you do a demo on how to mak your wrist band please dave. thanks.

Hey Dave great vid! I would like to try this but I can't find any place that sells castile soap. Where do you get your castile soap?

Cont..If need to use soap in the forest - rinse it onto soil, not into water. Doesnt matter if you use Castile soap or if the soap is made with lye or potash ALL plant based soaps contain fatty acids (FAs) since they naturally occur in all plant oils. Soil microbes quickly degrade FAs and FAs are already present in the soil from naturally occurring plant metabolism. So rinse off ALL soap suds over soil - not directly into streams or where it can run into water!

This is about self reiance in all situations, you will find it vewry difficult to make lye soap in the woods period, it can be done but is very time consuming. Better to make soap on the fly by using Melt and Pour type Castile, that way you can use the oils you want for your situation. That is what this is about Sir,
