Circular walk starting at Housesteads Roman fort information centre on Hadrians wall and heading across the fields to East Crindledykes farm and from there across Thorngrafton common and through Westwood cottages. From there the walk follows Chainley burn to Vindolanda Roman fort . After this the walk rejoins Hadrians wall at Hotbank Farm and follows it via Milecastle 37 back to Housesteads. The walk is 7.5 miles long and is graded moderate.
