FINNEYTOWN, Ohio (Angenette Levy) -- When Robin and Dino Costanzo pulled into their driveway Christmas night, they knew something was wrong when they didn't see their silver SUV in the driveway. The 2011 GMC Yukon was gone and the front window of their home was broken. So I think they picked up that brick and smashed the window with it. Because you see where the grid is cracked here, Robin Costanzo said as she described what she found. The inside of the couple's home had been ransacked. Two Mac laptops, a camera and several family heirlooms were missing. The computers and cameras contained photos from the couple's son's wedding. The thief also rifled through their china cabinet and discovered their silver place settings. Some of these were missing. These were silver serving pieces. But some of them were still there, Costanzo said as she looked through the cabinet. The Christmas crook was thorough. He or she went through the Costanzos' bedroom and emptied Robin's jewelry box and stole three Coach purses from their bedroom closet. The jewelry included diamond tennis bracelets, gold earrings and necklaces. My mom passed away years ago and I inherited all of this jewelry and so that's gone. And that's where you go, oh, I can't get that back or the silverware, Robin Costanzo said. To add insult to injury, the thief drove off with the loot in one of the familys SUV's. The vehicle was packed for a post-Christmas hunting trip and had two shotguns in it along with hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards. One of the shotguns was a Bellini, a high-end gun. The SUV has a bumper sticker on the back that reads God Is Still on the Throne and Prayer Changes Things. The license plate number is CB18KF. When we came home our next-door neighbor said he saw that car that was stolen leaving at 1. So it happened literally right after we left. The Costanzos were only gone for seven hours. Even the family's cat, Daisy, seems shaken by the intrusion. They hope someone will find their car and hopefully they'll get their stuff back. I'm not really angry, you're just kind of hurt and you almost feel like you just want to leave and pack up and go. I don't want to live here anymore. That's the way I feel, Robin Costanzo said. Anyone with information about the burglary or the location of the SUV can call Springfield Township Police 513.729.1300 or Crime Stoppers at 513.352.3040.
