Paper Cuts by Addictive TV

We were asked by the guys at IdN magazine (International Designers Network) - who publish their 100th issue this week - to make a little film celebrating that fact... here's the blurb!

To celebrate IdN's 100th issue, London based audiovisual artists and electronic act Addictive TV created this typically idiosyncratic video called Paper Cuts, made by filming the magazine and mixing AV samples into rhythms.

'Everyone thinks of magazines as a purely visual medium, and although obviously they mostly are that, they're also something more' says Addictive TV's Graham Daniels, 'a glossy magazine like IdN can also involve other senses like touch and even sound. So using early editions of the magazine, Mark and I wanted to explore making music from the noises you get when handling and flicking through IdN. And visually we decided to go for an old super8 style look to emphasise longevity'.
