Journey of the Heart - Mundelein Seminary

This is a short film I am very honored to have created on behalf of University of Saint Mary of the Lake - Mundelein Seminary.

"Mundelein Seminary is the major theological seminary of the Archdiocese of Chicago. We have national outreach. Our main purpose is to prepare candidates to be priests of Jesus Christ, teacher, priest and shepherd. We have an integrated program of intellectual, human, spiritual and pastoral formation. We aim to form true pastors- men of faith and prayer, commitment and maturity, theological competence and professional skill. Our priests share in the ministry of the bishop for the salvation of the world. Mundelein Seminary also prepares those who are engaged in full-time ministry for theological reflection in ministerial settings through a Doctor of Ministry degree.

@praetorian2150 Well, I am a seminarian and one of my brother seminarians, a very humble and holy man, has a rather severe stutter. He is a fine seminarian and I'm sure--if God is indeed calling him to the sacred ministry--he will be a fine priest!

My advice to you: contact the Director of Vocations of the diocese or religious order to which you feel called ASAP.

I grew up in Mundelein and worked at the Seminary for a number of summers in various ways (grounds crew, building maintenance, mail delivery, etc.). I moved to Indiana years ago but truly miss Mundelein and the seminary very much. It is a special place with a spirit all it's own. It is a great place to just walk through and feel God's presence and peace. I will visit soon. I have so many happy memories and will look back on my time working there with fondness.

You should talk to your vocation director at your diocese. We had a deaf seminarian in our seminary. He was ordained a priest last year. Good luck.
